"I work jointly with administrators and teachers to design and conduct a needs assessment. We work together in close coordination to identify problems and goals, then determine and execute an intervention (technical assistance, professional development, etc.) I can also help schools design and employ data collection mechanisms, then analyze and evaluate based on findings."

Testimonials:

"As one of the few large, comprehensive high schools left in the Boston Public Schools, we often find ourselves wanting to improve specific practices of our leadership team....because of Doctor Nurenberg's expertise, advisement, and time, we were able to give feedback to each of our educators on their courses -- over 64 courses in total! Doctor Nurenberg was able to read the syllabi, look for patterns that we need to address as a whole school, and give suggestions on the type of feedback (both affirming and critical) that teachers would need to make necessary revisions...Doctor Nurenberg's assistance in helping us refine, and, essentially, recreate a syllabus collection process has jumpstarted a much bigger shift in our work. We are now continuously thinking of how to create manageable, efficient, and effective systems and routines...we could not have done this without his support."  "David uses a student centered and inquiry based approach that allows each participant to engage in sophisticated and relevant discussion...he's an engaging speaker, clear communicator, timely and easy to coordinate with, and has an enthusiasm and depth of knowledge that resonates and inspires."

"I've always used project-based learning in my classroom and felt I used it well. Working with David though helped me enhance my use of PBL by planning more thorough units that require greater critical thinking. Students were not only responsible for what they produced, but had a stronger role in the process as well."
